Windsor Secondary School is located in North Vancouver, British Columbia at the foot of Mount Seymour, along the north shore mountains. Windsor Secondary has approximately 900 students in grades 8 through 12. Six choir classes totaling 140 students make up the choral music program. The Senior Chamber Choir is a non-auditioned, mixed-voice ensemble with 34 members in grades 9 to 12. The choir enjoys performing a wide range styles and genres including sacred and traditional pieces in addition to contemporary and more popular styles. This ensemble will tour to Havana, Cuba this coming March with Senior Band classes. New compositions and arrangements make up the majority of the music performed by Windsor Choirs. All of the material the group performs is taught using computer- assisted technologies, where complex, multi-part arrangements are taught without any printed material. This arrangement of Cohen’s “Hallelujah” has been performed many times for international tours in the past and is a favorite among students in the program. The recording was captured from a single audio/ video take, with one additional camera angle for a featured solo.
