From Newmarket Ontario, ‘Cadenza’ is a contemporary a cappella choir from Sir William Mulock Secondary School. Made up of students in grade 11, the extracurricular group meets once a week after school and performs both pop and vocal jazz. The group has been together since grade 9 and performs annually at the Ontario Vocal Jazz Festival and MusicFest Canada. Sir William Mulock S.S. is a blended learning public school in the York Region District School board. The school has 1200 students and features three concert bands, two jazz bands and four a cappella choirs.
