Taking our lead from the highly acclaimed percussion ensemble Stomp, this group of 14 concert band musicians from Central Elgin Collegiate Institute, in St. Thomas Ontario, decided to re-create Shawn Mendes’ Treat You Better. Using pitched and non-pitched instruments, laying around the music classroom, the class collectively chose the song, arranged the parts, and made all instrumentation decisions until the best combination was recorded. The video was recorded on our recently installed green screen, adding to the creativity of this amazing group of musicians. ENJOY!
